It's simply arts or comics created by people other than the original creator which are posted by the creator on their site to help fill out the space between update pauses or... just for fun!

Content wise, guest art often isn't much different from fan art. For guest comic, you're doing a non-canon mini comic using the characters. Some folks even do guest comic exchanges as a way to cross promote

:) What River Said. I like to call them guest art because they're not spontaneous, I'm asking for them. I tend to reserve fan art for out of the blue gifts.
